Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) has announced a partnership with SpaceX to offer Starlink broadband internet services to customers in India. This agreement, contingent on SpaceX receiving regulatory approvals to operate Starlink in India, will see Jio and SpaceX exploring synergistic opportunities to expand their reach and offerings. Jio will make Starlink solutions available through its extensive retail network and online platforms.
This collaboration brings together Jio, the world’s largest mobile operator by data traffic, and Starlink, the leading low Earth orbit satellite constellation operator. This partnership aims to deliver reliable broadband services across India, particularly to underserved rural and remote areas.
Beyond offering Starlink equipment through its retail channels, Jio will also establish a dedicated support system to facilitate customer service, installation, and activation.

Starlink To Complement JioAirFiber and JioFiber
This agreement with SpaceX underscores Jio’s commitment to providing reliable internet access to all segments of Indian society, including enterprises, small and medium businesses, and local communities. Starlink will complement Jio’s existing JioAirFiber and JioFiber offerings, extending high-speed internet to even the most remote locations quickly and affordably.
Jio and SpaceX are also exploring additional areas of collaboration, leveraging their combined infrastructure to further enhance India’s digital ecosystem.
